When you would need an extraction

There comes a time when a tooth simply cannot be repaired anymore. It may have been too badly damaged by tooth decay. Or it could have broken up over many years. When the tooth cannot be restored, then an extraction may be the only option.

What happens during the procedure

There are two options when you have teeth extracted. In most cases, a simple extraction will do the trick. The tooth is loosened in the mouth, and some forceps is used to remove the tooth. But sometimes a surgical extraction is needed. If this is the case, Dr Mathee will make a small incision in the gum. From here, he will be able to remove the tooth.

If there is no other option and your tooth must be removed, we will give you all the treatment options to replace the tooth as soon as possible to restore your smile and bite.
