The Crown Process at Mathee Dental Studio

Traditional Crown Treatment

For many cases, the traditional crown process remains an excellent option.

Step 1: Preparing the Tooth

We begin by removing any decay, damaged tooth structure, or weakened areas. The tooth is then carefully shaped to create space for the crown.

An impression is taken and sent to a skilled dental laboratory, where your custom crown is crafted.

Step 2: Temporary Crown

While your permanent crown is being made, you'll receive a temporary crown to protect the prepared tooth and maintain comfort and function.

Step 3: Fitting Your New Crown

Approximately two weeks later, you'll return for your fitting appointment. We carefully assess the fit, appearance, and bite before permanently bonding the crown into place.

Same-Day CEREC Crowns

For suitable cases, we can offer the convenience of a same-day ceramic crown using our advanced digital technology.

After preparing the tooth, we use an intraoral scanner to create a highly accurate digital impression of your tooth, eliminating the need for traditional impression materials.

Using our CEREC® system, we digitally design your custom crown and mill it right here in our practice while you wait. Once complete, we fit and bond the crown during the same appointment.
